Hello everyone!
Thanks for stopping by. I just wanted to give a quick introduction to the newest addition of our forum: the Global Health Diaries.

First, I'll briefly introduce myself. My name is Sara and I founded MedSoc Talk during my sophomore year of high school. At the time of writing this, I am now an 18-year-old, incoming second year premed at UCLA with a passion for infectious disease and global health.
This interest recently led me to Tarija, Bolivia, where I spent the month of July observing doctors at different healthcare settings to learn more about the Bolivian healthcare system, different infectious diseases that may not be as common in the United States, how social determinants of health affect access to care for patients in Bolivia, and, of course, immerse myself within a completely Spanish-speaking environment.
I have so much to share from my experience; too much to cram all into one post. I decided to create a completely separate category because this definitely will not be the end of my global health learning experiences. Every day while in Bolivia, I thought to myself, "This is what I want to do for the rest of my life." So, throughout the rest of my academic and medical career, I hope to have lots more to share with you here.
If you have any similar experiences and want to share them here, send me an email! I would love to compare our observations and have you share them with our audience.
